As CEO and member of the Board of Directors, Fletcher is responsible for Netsocket's strategic direction and growth. Fletcher brings deep industry knowledge as well as a strong track record in worldwide sales, business development and the establishment of new markets in complex technical environments.
Fletcher previously served as executive vice president of sales and business development for Netsocket. Fletcher came to Netsocket from Acme Packet, where he was vice president of enterprise and government sales and a founding member of the enterprise sales team. He was previously vice president/general manager of Americas system sales for NetTest Inc. (acquired by Anritsu), a Danish provider of integration performance analysis and service assurance systems for VoIP, GSM, GPRS, UMTS and next-generation network technologies.
Prior to that, Fletcher served as senior director of sales and vice president of customer operations for Alcatel USA, and he previously held senior customer operations management positions with DSC Communications Corp and was a field service engineer with Northern Telecom and an electronics technician with the United States Navy.
Joel Fontenot brings many years of banking, investing, and early-stage technology company operating experience. He was a Director of Business Development for Cisco Systems, Inc., joining Cisco in June 2006 through the acquisition of Metreos Corp., a voice technology company at which he was a founder and CEO.
Previously, Joel co-founded Netrake Corp. and served as the President of the company, which created a unique, patented IP network processing system. Prior to founding Netrake, Joel was Founding Partner and Managing Director of Arkoma Venture Partners. Before Arkoma, he had nearly 10 years of commercial and corporate banking experience.
Joel holds a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the executive board of the Bobby Lyle School of Engineering at Southern Methodist University, and he serves on the advisory board of Silver Creek Ventures.
Jim joined Venture Investors in 2007 as a Managing Director. He leverages his technical, operational and venture capital background by focusing on investment prospects in hardware, software, communications, and medical devices. In addition to Netsocket, he currently sits on the boards of HistoSonics and Tissue Regeneration Systems.
Jim has 16 years of hands-on venture capital experience where he led the spin-out, sourcing, financing, syndication and exit of numerous investments. During this time, he performed the role of CEO, President, CFO and COO of select opportunities until a management team was recruited. Jim served on the Boards of Directors of Avail Networks(SCMR) and HandyLab(BD), and as an observer for Alfalight(CP), Ardesta, LenSx(NVS), TherOx and Xtera Communications. Prior to his venture capital positions, Jim had nine years operating experience both domestically and internationally. In these operational roles, he wore many functional hats: marketing, engineering, business development and operations.
Jim earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA with High Distinction, all from the University of Michigan.
Jon Bayless is a veteran networking investor who has taken a lead role in nurturing several early-stage companies. Jon led the firm's early investments in, and served as the chairman of, CIENA Corp. and Landmark Graphics Corp., both public companies. He currently focuses on investment opportunities created by the transition of telecommunications networks to Internet protocol, and wireless and business applications in the cloud. He sits on the boards of ExteNet, GENBAND, Vidyo, and Xtera Communications. He has helped secure exits for many of Sevin Rosen's most prominent telecommunications-infrastructure companies, including Monterey Networks, Navarro Networks and Lightspeed.
Jon sits on the Board of Visitors for the Oklahoma University College of Engineering and the Venture Catalyst Advisory Board at Arizona State University. Jon earned a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Oklahoma, a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama and a Ph.D. in the same subject from Arizona State University, where he was also an NDEA Fellow.
Since joining Silver Creek Ventures in 1991, Michael Segrest has worked actively with more than twenty-five portfolio companies, helping them realize their goals of becoming successful startup companies. As General Partner for Silver Creek Ventures, Michael has focused his investment activities on information technologies, particularly in the areas of security, networking, and services.
Prior to Silver Creek, Michael served as a Principal for a merchant banking firm specializing in the communications industries.
Michael received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas in the ERB (Engineering Route to Business) program, electrical engineering option, and his MBA in finance from The University of Texas.
Dino is a sales and business development expert with more than 25 years of experience leading high-growth technology organizations. He served as chief operating officer at Acme Packet prior to its $2.1 billion acquisition by Oracle Corporation in February 2013. There, he oversaw the company’s global sales and business development, customer service and support, and manufacturing organizations. Dino previously served as senior vice president of worldwide sales and business development. Prior to Acme Packet, Dino led systems engineering, sales and business development, and the worldwide business development directors group at Sema Priority Call, Inc., which produced network-based solutions for prepaid calling, enhanced messaging and one-number services.
Mr. Di Palma holds a BA (Honors) degree in Economics and Political Science from McGill University and an MA degree in Public Policy and Business Administration from Concordia University.
