NetSocket Offers Service Assurance for Visibility Throughout the Cloud and Provider Assurance for Visibility Of the Cloud

Service Assurance

NetSocket's Service Assurance solution offering is targeted at enterprises or cloud network providers that own and operate their IP networks.

In this scenario, NetSocket’s SVSS is deployed at select locations to provide end-to-end visibility throughout the IP network. This visibility helps enterprises and cloud providers better manage service delivery and service level commitments necessary to differentiate their service from others in the market.

Service Assurance delivers the following:

  • Immediate visibility of silent failure impact - NetSocket clients immediately see the impact of silent failures (route flap, reroutes, route changes/failures, congestion, QoS issues) for every customer session—issues previously left uncorrelated and untracked.
  • Absolute end-to-end session visibility - NetSocket provides a unified session view by stitching around SBC/NAT/Proxies in multi-leg sessions. Network borders no longer create artificial barriers to session metrics and rapid troubleshooting.

NetSocket’s patented Session2Topology (S2T) correlation engine is the enabling technology behind this solution offering. S2T passively monitors the media, signaling, and IP network planes provide a detailed, per session view. S2T provides a summary and detailed Quality of Session Record (QSR) report for each session in your enterprise or cloud network. The information provided includes:

  • Complete, end-to-end, hop-by-hop session path visibility, for all sessions, 24x7
  • Location of issue/fault in network for rapid resolution
  • Signaling, including stored packet captures for failed calls
  • Media info with forensic-level Voice Quality Metrics like in-call MOS scoring, packet loss/drop, jitter, and echo

QSR reports are maintained for 30 days in the SVSS. All Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are maintained for 90 days in the SVSS. NetSocket is delivering Service Assurance at some of the largest financial and multinational enterprises and service providers.

Provider Assurance

NetSocket's Provider Assurance offering is targeted at enterprises using network service providers to transit their managed or hosted traffic.

In this scenario, NetSocket’s SVSS is deployed at select locations within the enterprise – typically data centers – to provide visibility to the service quality delivered by the service providers network.

This visibility helps the enterprise quickly determine whether service quality is being degraded in their LAN or in the service provider’s WAN, and better manage the service level commitments contracted with the service provider.

Provider Assurance delivers the following:

  • Session visibility within the Enterprise - NetSocket provides a detailed view of the user’s quality of experience for every session from the moment the session enters the Enterprise LAN. This allows the Enterprise IT team to determine whether any degradation in service is caused within the LAN, or was introduced in the service provider’s WAN.
  • Next-Generation Service Quality Analysis NetSocket provides a detailed view of actual session quality compared to service level commitments for the purpose of improving service delivery. This capability also allows the Enterprise to bracket the various IP clouds used in service delivery to best determine the source of any service degradation and optimize network usage.

This offer is enabled by NetSocket’s patented Session2Topology (S2T) correlation engine that passively monitors the media, signaling, and IP network planes for a detailed, coordinated, per session view.

S2T provides a summary and detailed Quality of Session Record (QSR) reports for each session in your enterprise or cloud network The information provided includes:

  • Hop-by-hop session path visibility within the LAN, for all sessions, 24x7
  • Location of issue/fault in network for rapid resolution
  • Signaling, including stored packet captures for failed calls
  • Media info with forensic-level Voice Quality Metrics like in-call MOS scoring, packet loss/drop, jitter, and echo
  • Service level compliance reports to guide network optimization and service delivery/management

QSR are maintained for 30 days in the SVSS. All Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are maintained for 90 days in the SVSS. NetSocket is delivering Provider Assurance at medium and large enterprises and call centers.

The SVSS is available either for purchase or as a managed service to suit the specifics of the customer environment and need. Both, the Provider Assurance (Visibility of the Cloud) and Service Assurance (Visibility throughout the Cloud) offers can be deployed in this manner.
