NetSocket has named industry veteran Stephen Saleski to the newly created position of vice president, global sales.

PLANO, Texas – May 25, 2010 – NetSocket, the first real-time IP service assurance provider, has named industry veteran Stephen Saleski to the newly created position of vice president, global sales.

Saleski will apply his more than 20 years of worldwide technology sales and business development expertise to help expand global markets for NetSocket's breakthrough technology, which enables superior performance, proactive troubleshooting and significant cost savings for voice-over-IP (VoIP), videoconferencing and other real-time IP services.

“Steve's combination of creativity and strong analytical skills, along with his proven ability to engage customers strategically, make him an ideal addition to our NetSocket team,” said Ken Lewis, president and CEO of NetSocket. “We expect Steve to be extraordinarily effective at working with enterprise, government and wireless organizations in adopting our solutions to transform their real-time IP service delivery.”

“NetSocket offers a proven, uniquely effective solution to a serious problem: how to effectively manage and scale real-time services in large IP networks,” said Saleski. "The growing reliance on real-time voice and video IP services is creating an explosive growth opportunity for NetSocket and its patented Session2Topology correlation engine. I'm delighted to be joining this seasoned management and development team at such an exciting time.”

Saleski an experienced sales & business development leader

Before joining NetSocket, Saleski served as vice president of sales for Zixi, helping to launch a cloud-based SaaS video transmission service for delivering live HD video. Previously, he was vice president sales, Americas and EMEA, for NMS Communications, a leading provider of communications technologies and solutions for converged and mobile networks. Under Saleski's hands-on sales leadership, NMS restructured its sales and service business units and achieved strategic account wins that revitalized the company. Before that, Saleski was vice president of business development at BBN Technologies, where he helped to launch a new commercial audio and video search engine based on speech-to-text technology developed by BBN.

From 1996 to 2006, he was vice president of worldwide sales for the Communications Infrastructure Group at Empirix Inc., a provider of communications testing and monitoring equipment for network equipment providers, telecom service providers and enterprises. In that role, he increased revenues from $4 million to $47 million in just four years – and he is credited with leading the previously failing division back to growth and profitability while increasing market share. Earlier in his career, Saleski held senior sales and marketing positions at Teradyne, a leading vendor of capital equipment for the semiconductor and circuit board manufacturing markets worldwide.

Saleski holds a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering from Tufts University, with a minor in engineering management.
